Gucci is an Italian luxury fashion label founded in 1921 by Italian businessman Guccio Gucci in Florence, Italy. Gucci brand started out as a luggage manufacturer, producing luxury travel goods for Italy’s wealthy upper class. At the beginning Gucci brand produced leather goods, silk goods, shoes and handbags.

Guccio Gucci passed away 2 January 1953 in Milan at the age of 71 , but the business continued under the leadership of his three sons, Aldo, Vasco and Rodolfo, In the mid-‘60s, the brand introduced luxury accessories such as eyewear, watches and jewelry and many other accessories to their product lines.
Today, Gucci’s creative director is Alessandro Michele, one of the most popular fashion designers in the world.
